Rosen Bridge Network Upgrade: Comprehensive Test Results and Future Plans

Rosen Bridge is currently testing a new peer-to-peer (P2P) network upgrade beneath the guard layer. Initial results are promising, indicating robust performance across various regions. Here’s a detailed overview of the network’s performance based on estimates from my RoseNet node in Germany:

Direct Communication:

For nodes with sufficient bandwidth, message delivery rates exceeded 98%, with an average message sending latency of around 1 second (including acknowledgments). This includes nodes from the US, Europe, Australia, and Asia. Nodes with limited bandwidth experienced higher latencies and lower delivery rates. Receiving latencies were generally lower due to reduced roundtrip times.

PubSub Communication

The average latency was under 1 second (typically around 0.5 seconds), with a delivery rate of approximately 85%. This is within expected parameters, as pubsub is designed for efficient, albeit not guaranteed, message delivery.

Network Traffic

The node traffic averaged 25MB/s upstream and 15MB/s downstream, which is significantly higher than the current Rosen guard messaging traffic. This suggests that RoseNet will more than meet the demands of Rosen’s messaging requirements.

The test was successful, and integration into the Pandora testbed began today.

We plan to test the Binance Chain with RoseNet starting in the next week.

Additionally, the Pandora testbed is ready, and I have topped up the addresses with the necessary funds to begin testing on BSC and Doge.

Moreover, we’re excited to announce that the Ethereum bridge is now live, expanding our cross-chain capabilities and offering users seamless asset transfers to and from the Ethereum network. These advancements reflect our commitment to enhancing Rosen Bridge’s infrastructure and ensuring a robust and versatile cross-chain experience. Stay tuned for more updates!
